i have been lighting candles and shabbat-ing alone in the monastary
partially for the cool juxtaposition
partially cuz i have a weird instinct that kicks in when i feel i am the last of my kind and i need to preserve my culture
partially cuz i gots to represent cuz i'm the only jew a lot of these people have encountered and i don't want them thinking jews are non-religious heathens
partially cuz i'm in this cool spiritual place and i wanna tap into that, but the tools i have to use come from judaism
