I showed mom my usual hangout -- the Jodenbreesstraat/Waterlooplein/Jewish area. We found a good deal on a big suitcase at Waterlooplein (the flea market). Then we went to Bagels and Beans (also at Waterlooplein), which is my favorite place to nosh/study. Mom got a bagel with lox and shmear.
Then we took the tram to the Dappermarkt, a big, open market that I love. We got yummy cheeses and Dutch bread and other treats, and brought them to Oosterpark for a picnic. There was a big Suriname festival for Surinamese Emancipation Day.
We walked from Oosterpark to my favorite brewery for some beers. Then we went home and relaxed for a bit. Then we met up with my friend, Krystal and checked out some cool areas in the heart of the city. Then Doctor Who. Now sleep.
